Reserve de la Comtesse 2001

Young & meaty, Reserve de la Comtesse 2001 (Pauillac, Bordeaux) is medium ruby, still closed with faint aromas of smoke, musk but little fruit. Closed on the attack, its dormant fruit belies a big toasty/meaty palate, good tanins and acidity and a dry finish. Young rough and dormant, retaste in 3 years. Score 14/20. Hogi Hyun, 14 Jul 05.
