Chateau Gruaud Larose 1997

Earthy and fine, Chateau Gruaud Larose 1997 (Saint-Julien, Bordeaux) is medium ruby/brick, displaying aromas of faint musk/underbrush, smokey oak and faint red liquorice. Subtle and finely balanced, it has mature fruit with rounded tanins ending in an elegant masculin finish. Drink now + 5 years. Score 16/20. Hogi Hyun, 28 Oct 2005.
