Complex and rich, Chateau Leoville Barton 1998 (Saint-Julien, Bordeaux) is deep ruby, with a sweet complex nose of smoke and cedar, a strong attack of ripe red fruits on the palate, followed with good balance, rich concentration and slightly dry tanins on the finish.
